Mason Crib Recall

Dear Valued MDB Customer,

Franklin and Ben, a brand in The MDB Family, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada is conducting a voluntary recall of the Mason 4 in 1 Crib manufactured from January 2012 through August 2012. It appears that a detachment of the front panel from the side panel could occur if the side panel is not properly glued. If that occurred a child might fall out of the crib, or become entrapped between the front and sides. The firm has received reports of 14 incidents of detachment. No injuries have been reported. However, because serious injury or death could occur in a worst case scenario, we are conducting this recall.

If you have one of these cribs, we ask that you immediately stop using the crib if you have a safe sleeping environment for your child. (A crib, bassinet, or toddler bed, depending on the age of the child.) Please note that the model number and manufacture date are printed on a label located on the inside of the bottom right hand side panel. (The purchase order number is found in the "serial number" box on the label and on the side of the crib cardboard box. Only the following purchase orders are included in this recall: PO004522, PO004546, PO004548, PO004777.)

If you have a recalled crib, we will send you free of charge, kits with new side panels and everything you will need to upgrade your crib and make it safer.
